How To Do What You Love In Life

Change your life!I might not have all the answers, but this one… I’ve recently found it.

And trust me, if you suddenly found out how to do what you love in life, you wouldn’t keep such big thing just to yourself, would you?

It’s really a worth spreading discovery, don’t you think?

I will spare you the psychological rambling about happiness and the reasons why you would want to do what you love, because you’re far past this point already.

What I’m gonna give you here are facts that you may have been missing this whole time and that will open your eyes to a new reality (don’t worry, this is a cult-free area :P), like it just happend to me.

Let’s cut to the chase

I don’t know about you but, I’ve been jumping from one crappy job to another during years, trying to find the perfect combination where I could get the opportunity to both make decent money at the end of the month and at the same time get such motivation that I would wake up in the morning with a smile, eager for another day at work.

Have you been there?

Are you still there now?

If the answer to any of these is YES, then, stay with me and I’ll give you the steps of how to start doing what you love and get paid for it. start your journey

Yeah, I know, it sounded “too good to be true” to me too, but when you find out how it works, and that actually there’s thousands of people already doing it, you’ll wonder how you could’ve missed it.

But don’t beat yourself up, remember that, as they say, “the master shows up when the disciple is ready” (and I’m not the master here, don’t get me wrong, I’m just showing you the way) so maybe now it’s the time, now you are ready to take the step. That’s why you ended up here.

So, you will see that it’s actually pretty easy and literally anybody can do it.

You’ve Been Doing It Wrong

The whole approach we’ve all always thought to be the right one is absolutely not the way to go if you really want to make the most of your life.

You’ve always been told the way to success in your life was: get a college degree, get a job and then you can enjoy the time off with that salary, doing what you really like to wind up from work, but always keeping in mind the bills and everything. Yeah, right? WRONG!

What if I told you it’s actually the other way around?Choose the right way

OK, take some of the most successful people you know: Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Oprah, Al Pacino, Jim Carrey, Tom Hanks, Lady Gaga, Abraham Lincoln…

Let me tell you what these guys here have in common: they are all school dropouts. And it didn’t turn out that bad for them, did it?

This doesn’t mean studying and getting a job doesn’t work out well, it means it’s just not for everyone, and also that it’s not the only option and maybe it’s not even the best option.

It means that there are some people who prefer to take the leap and pursue their dreams by doing what they really love to do, and some of them even helping people on the way.

Do you want to do the same as them?

Don’t get me wrong. If you want to be a milionaire overnight, go play the lotto, try online poker, marry a big shot or stuff like that.

What I’m talking about here is making a living out of what you’re passionate about, and generating a passive income that allows you to enjoy life.

How To Make A Living Doing What You Love?

You first need to change your mindset and put your heart and soul in what you really love to do.

Think about it.

Your worst enemy is routine.

You get used to doing the same everyday, and you just go with the flow, but there are moments when you stop and realize that’s really not the kind of life you want, am I right?Be free at last

What is really holding you back is your own fear of leaving that “comfort zone” (which is actually a discomfort zone) and I’m gonna give you the tools to start making the most of your life right now.

I need you to commit, to not take this lightly, since this requires hard work.

But this time it’s not gonna be hard work you do for others, it will be for your own project, for your own life.

And if you are up for this, you’ll be finally free.

Just 3 Simple Steps

I told you this was going to be easy. Remember?

All you need to start the wheel and keep it turning is:

#1. Write down all those things you love to do. Your hobbies, sports, activities or games you master. It can literally be anything, just think about those things you could easily teach somebody or spend hours talking about.

#2. Choose whichever of those you feel more passionate about and more comfortable with, since you’re going to create your own online business around that passion. You don’t even need to know anything about the online marketing world.

#3. Then check out this article. This is a complete review of the place where you are going to get all the help and resources you need to create you own website around what you most love doing, and get revenue from it.

Build your future

Sounds pretty straightforward, right?

Believe it or not, it’s as easy as that.

So, if you’re commited, if you really want to put this into work and change your life for good, there’s no point holding you back, let’s get your online business started!

Remember that the only person that fails is the one who never tries!

And please, when you have done that, come back here and share your experience with everybody down at the comments. I’d really love to hear that I helped you finally do what you love in life, and your experience may also help others make up their minds and take the leap.

Enjoy you new life!

    hi there,
Great post and well done on a great example of what’s required in life in order to get started to live the life you dreamed of.
I heard country C & W singer Kenny Rogers on TV recently and he said his motto was ‘Find a job you love and you’ll never have to work a day in you life again’. I guess you could apply the same philosophy to what you are writing about here. We need to ‘discover our passion’, ‘what makes us tick’ and then work on that online.
Thanks again for a great post
    Cheers..Phil Browne.

      Hi Phil!

You’re absolutely right. What’s the point of living a life you do not enjoy? We need to find that passion that makes us wake up with a smile and make the most of the day!

That motto you pointed out is the best goal you can have to achieve happiness! 😉

      Thanks for commenting!

I wish you have a great life doing what you love!

  • Ayako

    Hi Israel
I cannot agree with you more about how most of us have it the other way around about life. It’s so important to find your passion and build your work and life around it. It is such a great post and I’m glad you’ve outlined it so clearly.

      Hi Ayako!

I’m glad you think the same way.

I guess there’s too much routine in our lives, we do not realize that time goes by and we’re not really living, we’re just on autopilot.

I hope you find your passion and live your live to the fullest! 🙂

  • Linda

    Hi, Israel!
Great article and I enjoyed it. I read and smiled. 🙂 Very positive and inspirational. You even give me some ideas for my next articles. I always wanted to do what I love and here I am. I have a feeling that I already found what I was looking for. Thanks again for this great piece!

    • Israel

      Hi Linda!

I’m really happy you liked it!

I have the idea that everybody should be doing what they love in their lives. There’s no point on living a life you don’t want when it’s up to you to change it.

I’m glad it inspired you and I really wish you do what you love from now on and fully enjoy your life!

      All the best! 🙂

      • Linda

I absolutely agree. I love myself too much to give me something less than joy. 🙂 I want to do only what I love and enjoy, I am not looking for “normal” job as many people suspect of me. I know that kind of job will slowly kill me. It sounds harsh, but that is what I feel. At least I don’t see how that kind of job would be good for me and how can I enjoy doing what I don’t like. Why does even somebody want to do that?

        • Israel

You said that! You know what you like and what you don’t, so why choose the second option?
We just have one life, and it’s to be lived fully by doing what we most love!
It takes courage, but great achievements never came from a comfort zone 😉
Go for it and get the life you deserve!

  • VHayes2

I really enjoyed reading your post!!!!! It made me feel so uplifted as I kept reading! I just had to read more. To be honest I was really sad when I realized I was at the end. That is what I am trying to do with my page too!!!!! I LOVE the title of your page by the way.

    • Israel

Thanks so much for the kind words!

It makes me happy to know that you liked it so much. I really appreciate it 🙂

Keep it up with your page! I know for sure you will make something amazing.

Do what you love and enjoy! 🙂

  • Cathy

I so agree with what you say about the ‘dangers’ of the comfort zone. I was locked into it for a couple of years after graduating and could feel the creativity dying in me.

Nothing beyond work really excites me and after a while, even work was becoming boring and tiring. Even at that stage, I didn’t know what else to do, but I know I can’t continue to be like that.

A series of events lead me to discover that I might want to start my own business. I think it would be a great avenue to re-live my passion.

But I don’t know how to go about it. Any tips?

    • Israel

      Hi Cathy!

I’ve been there. Discouraged and sad, feeling nothing made sense. I guess most of the people go through that at some point in their lives.

But you’re already past that point, since you’ve realized what you need to do is start your own business, do what you love and forget about loosing your time working for others to give meaning to your life.

What you need to do is forget all the past bad moments and focus on the present.

Take what you love to do and turn it into your business. No need to rush things, you just move one step at a time and enjoy the process. Live is what we make of it, and how we take the things that happen to us.

Stepping out of the comfort zone is scary, and it’s not easy, but I can tell you it’s worth it.

Believe in yourself and do what you love, don’t look back, and enjoy!

If you need to talk or motivation, or anything, you know where to find me 😉

      All the best, Cathy!

  • Leo

I have been in a job that I do not really enjoy for a while but it pays well. It is definitely tough to find a balance of doing things you love yet pays you decently at the same time. Your article gave me motivation to try to explore ways to make what I love into a real thriving business! I like what you said, if you never try you already failed. However I am not a risk taker as I do need to put food on the table month after month but I am gonna try working a business around my passion!

    • Israel

      Hi Leo!

I’m happy to be hepful! 🙂

Creating a thriving business out of your passion doesn’t happen overnight. It takes commitment and hard work.

Not everybody can affort to take that risk without a back up job in the process, so what I suggest is that you keep providing for your family, while you start your own online business.

If you commit and put all your effort on that project, you’ll see how it gradually turns into a full-time business that will allow you to quit your job and fully live your life in your own terms.

Be positive and give the best of you and you’ll achieve it!

I’m right here if you need anything 😉

      Best of luck, my friend!

  • isaac

It’s very nice to be able to make a living from our passion. No more lifeless and boring days lol!

But I believe not everyone can easily drop their current work and enter online business. I’d say the young people has it the best. The older people especially those with family and high financial obligations (mortgages, kids, etc) cant easily drop their boring work and pursue their online passion…. What are your recommendations for these people Israel?

    • Israel

      Hi Isaac!

You’re right, my friend. If you got a family to provide for, it’s not that easy to drop everything to pursue your dreams,it won’t happen overnight, it will maybe take more time, but it’s still possible if you really want it.

As I said on the article, we’re our worst enemy, the comfort zone is indeed very comfortable and it’s scary to go out there, right? But the fact that something scares us means it’s worth it, otherwise we wouldn’t even react.

The important thing here is to commit, work hard and have your goals well defined. Step by step, you can start creating your own business at home, on your spare time, vacations, breaks… it’s a matter of time that it starts shaping up and you begin to see the results.

It’s all about how much you want it to happen. You got all the tools and support from many people who have been there and succeeded to help you do it. So it’s up to you and the effort you’re gonna put on changing your life for good so that you and your family can live it to the fullest.

You create your own way, my friend, we all have that power, the rest are just excuses, it only takes that change of mindset and realizing how hard you really wish it to happen.

      Best of luck, Issac!

  • Carlos

    Hey there,
This is some great motivation provided here. I agree with you the most. Life is about finding your passion and fulfill your happiness. Nowadays, we can see society being corrupted by wrong ideas of how to live life for meaningless purposes. That’s sad but it is the reality many people face. Thanks for proving otherwise and sharing this content man!

    • Israel

      Hey Carlos!

I’m really happy it inspires you!

You said that! Society drags us into abiding with its rules, and we end up stuck in a life we don’t really want to live. We’re just like robots, doing the same meaningless things every day, just to find a couple of moments of real happiness.

It shouldn’t be like that, in fact, it doesn’t have to be. It just takes a readjustment on your mindset to change your life and realize you can actually live on your own terms doing what you love.

We need to kill routine and get out of the comfort zone.

It’s not easy to do it, it takes courage, but man, I’m telling you, it will be worth it! 😉

      Cheers, and enjoy!

  • Jen

I love this post! I have definitely been there, looking for the perfect opportunity, always looking to find something bigger and better. I had an idea about what made me happy, and some things I was passionate about – personal finance, reading, writing, running, but have never had an outlet for it. However, I’m also so set in my routine that the fear of change ripples through me every time I set my sights on something new.

These simple steps are a great way to just get started living a life you are happy and passionate about. Great article – I enjoyed reading it!
    ~Jen

    • Israel

      Hi Jen!

Thanks! I’m really glad you liked it! 🙂

It’s something that I guess happens to most of the people. you get so taken up by routine, you don’t even think of anything else. And if for some reason you think about it and see that there can be light at the end of the tunnel, it’s so scary that you always put if off and end up not doing anything.

But it’s never too late to change your life if you really want to!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.

I wish you all the best on living your life doing what you love! 🙂

  • Alicia

    Hi Israel!

    • Israel

      Hi Alicia!

      Thanks for your comment!

We need to do what we love and be happy, what’s the point of being here just to pay bills and please others?

I’m sure you’ll achieve your goals and live the life you deserve! 🙂

      All the best!

  • Cassia

Oh wow. I enjoyed your reading your post. It’s true that life is so much more meaningful when you pursue what you are designed for. Each one of us is born with certain strengths, inclinations, passions and it would really make a great deal of difference when we open our eyes to the gifts that we already have within ourselves and just do what we love. Thank you for sharing this. May you continue to find fulfillment in what you do.

    • Israel

      Hi Cassia!

I’m glad you liked it! 😉

It really is eye-opening when you realize that you can actually do what you love and live your life to the fullest.

Many people get stuck in jobs they hate, doing things they really do not enjoy just to please others who won’t even care about them. It’s routine, and it’s easy to fall into it.

But there’s a way to change that, and it starts with a change in your mindset. When you see what you’ve been missing, there’s no turning back and you can finally be happy! 🙂

      Thanks for commenting!

I wish you a happy life doing what you love!

Hey Israel great post. Your words are inspiring and thought provoking. Yes I am probably one of those people that do not like getting up in the morning and going to work doing the same routine day after day.

I have seen my parents get up day after day and go to a job that they hate. I have been job hoping for many years. Going from job to job with very little upward mobility. Always looking for the best job for me. I was told that if you find a job that you love doing and that you will do it for FREE. Then that is what you should do.

You have presented some good points about online marketing. I have some ideas about what I can explorer as a business. Thanks to your words they have sparked a light bulb to shine. This maybe something that I can try.

I would love to be able to smile when I get up in the morning and knowing that I have a reason to go to work. Most of all I would love to have my wife come home from working (if she wants) and never worry about money ever again.

    • Israel

That’s precisely what I’m talking about.

If you really want to do it, if you’re up to commit and put all your effort on making it work, you can achieve it!

And it’s not just some motivational quote, you actually can do what you love and make a living out of it, since today you got all the resources on the Internet to do so, and all the support from people who already took the leap and succeeded.

You know the kind of live you want for you and your wife, right? Then go get it, my friend!

      All the best! Enjoy!

  • JReese

    Great post!

It is always inspiring to see people encouraging others to go after a lifestyle/job choice in which they are passionate about! Who doesn’t want to do what they love? I am currently using Wealthy Affiliate as well and couldn’t be more excited to see what the outcome will be when I am done!

    Thanks for sharing!

School is definitely not for everyone. As a person that graduated from college two years ago, I can definitely attest that unless your going to law or medical school, college is the biggest joke and waste of time. 99% of what anyone learns/studies in college is never used, making it a complete waste of time and money. It’s just to receive a piece of paper, that’s all! Which is why I totally agree with you that school is not for everyone.

    • Israel

      Hi Ariel!

Yeah, so true. I also got one, totally useless now, by the way lol. But they tell us that it’s the way, so that we can all go the same direction and not think for ourselves.

There’s people who really love what they study, and that’s great! But you should have other options. I wish somebody would have walked me through those other options, the ones out of the usual path.

It’s really up to us to decide what we want to do with our lives, and now we got more means than ever to figure it out 😉

Cheers! All the best, my friend!

  • Elizabeth

Wow, what an inspirational post. I also love that it’s such a clean design and easy to read.

Well, in your post you asked us to share about how we are doing it, and I want to say that I am ON the path. I mean, everything you say is right – – we have to get away from that safe routine.

I was a high school English teacher for over a decade, and last December, I quit. I started my academic editing business, started writing blogs, started with Wealthy Affiliate, and also wrote an outline for a novel (I need to start it now, lol).

Working for myself is a lot of work, but like you said in your post, it doesn’t feel like work because it’s what you want to be doing. I want to write this, and I wanted to read your post. It’s Saturday and I certainly could be doing something else.

Anyway, what a fantastic post. I look forward to reading more. Do you have a newsletter with your site?

    Cheers,

    Elizabeth

    • Israel

      Hi Elizabeth!

I’m really happy you liked it!

Your story is great and inspiring! I’m glad you’re doing what you love, that’s what it is all about, right? 😉

I wish you the best of luck with your novel. My wife is also a writer. She self-publishes all her novels and uploads them to Amazon, I suggest you do that and put yourself out there. I’m sure if you put your heart on it you’ll succeed.

Regarding the newsletter, I’m really starting with the blog and trying to increase my rate of posts per week, so I don’t really have a scheduled one now, but you can subscribe by writing down your email in the top right corner, under the main menu, so that I can send you the latest updates 🙂

Thanks a lot for commenting and go for it! The only way you can fail is not trying.

      Cheers and enjoy!

  • Michael

I totally agree when you say that “Your worst enemy is routine. Doing the same thing over and over again will make anyone really frustrated. This might just cause them to do things that they will later one regret.
Again, the most fun job is to do something you love. I am really working hard to do something out of my passion.
Do you think it is difficult to work based on your profession?

    • Israel

      Hi Michael,

I guess it will depend on what your profession is and the experience you have. Today it’s all about experience and what you can bring to the job.

As you say, when you do things you don’t like for a long time, you can get really frustrated, so why not take your passion and put all your effort on that? 😉

I’m glad your taking action already. I wish you all the best on achieving your dreams!

      Cheers and enjoy it!

  • JeffWA

    Hi, Israel,
In reading your very inspiring article, first of all the names that you mentioned as being school drop-outs at one time or another – Bill Gates, Oprah, the late Steve Jobs, Tom Hanks was literally mind-blowing. The facts are that these people are, (or in Jobs’ and Abraham Lincoln’s cases “were”) very successful in life. Plus on a side note, they don’t have to worry about money either, lol!

Regarding money however, having enough of it is NOT a guarantee of happiness for some individuals. Money is nice and the good fortune of having enough not to worry where the next meal will be coming from is also great. Still, when that person’s time is up on this Earth he/she can’t take the $$$ with him/her.

As you stated, what is crucial is that during a person’s lifetime, he/she finds something that motivates or else instills the need for having a true purpose. A reason to get up every day with a smile on one’s face. As you stated a passion and love for what is done during a lifetime.

The manner in which you presented the concept in your article was a great way to then delve into Wealthy Affiliate. You promoted this program as being an opportunity where an individual can truly be his/her own boss, have a passion for a niche product that best serves to help others, and not be stuck in the routine of a boring 9 – 5 “job” experiencing no joy whatsoever. WA has certainly provided a lot of members worldwide with positive things occuring in their lives.

Your article would serve as inspiration to so many people who come across it and, in fact, are missing something from their lives.

    Jeff

    • Israel

      Hey Jeff!

You’re absolutely right, money doesn’t buy happiness, but it’s just one less thing to worry about so that you can freely chase your dreams and make the most of your time here.

The thing is I did know that I wanted to do something meaningful with my life, but it wasn’t until I discovered that awesome WA community of like-minded people who were already doing it, that I understood how to do it, and it just goes by doing what you love and helping others in the way.

What can be better than living a fulfilling life by helping others find their way to happiness? That’s awesome!

Thanks so much for commenting! I’m happy you find this article inspiring 😉

      Cheers and enjoy!
